Global law firm Clifford Chance today announces the promotion of 29 lawyers to the partnership.

The new partners highlight the strength and diversity of top talent available to clients across the breadth of international markets, products, and sectors aligned with the firm's global growth strategy.

Key statistics:

  • Gender: 38% (11) promoted partners were female. The rolling average over five years is 38%. The firm has a target of at least 40% female and at least 40% male global partners in the firm by 2030.
  • Ethnicity: 20% of the 15 new US and UK partners who have disclosed ethnicity identified as under-represented minority ethnic partner1. This exceeds the firm's target of 15% of new partners by 2025 for the third year running.
  • At 1 May, 2024 the Clifford Chance global partnership will comprise 661 partners. This compares to 623 partners on 1 May 2023.

The promotions take effect 1 May 2024.
